Darjeeling to Gangtok (Sikkim) on A shared Jeep - Pure scenic beauty.

14th April 2018 - Another wonderful morning started just outside the club stand in Darjeeling but sadly not to stay here but to move towards another amazing place which I only opted to visit because the tour operator suggested and to be frank I was really afraid to visit the tour guide at first but he turned out to be very helpful, supportive and budget-friendly. So, my journey started on a shared jeep at around 7 am in the morning and the best part was obviously the view outside the window. Every part of the journey from Darjeeling to Sikkim was amazing and the view was just wow, I couldn't just take off my eyes from the window. Surrounded by nature, cold breeze, the view, and the adventure-filled drive. Drivers, there are too good, especially those whom I met, they maintained the right speed at the right time, without forgetting to slow down at each turn seemed like they remember every corner of the road turn by turn.

Though a different state, Darjeeling to Gangtok is just around 130kms and it takes around 4 hours to reach there. If you are coming to Darjeeling and not planning to visit Sikkim it will be a huge mistake that you will regret later on. The amazing journey is actually the best one so far, I don't know how many times I will say this but this place deserves all the good words. Check out the video below for the visual treat to your eyes if you are a nature lover you will definitely love it. Reached Gangtok at around 11:30am I really don't know how the hell time passed so fast. The cab driver stopped in between for breakfast as it was early morning or you can say long journey so they usually take 1 break there.

After reaching Gangtok I went on to check in the room which was booked by the agent himself he gave me 2 options first was at MG Marg and another some 4-5kms far, I choose MG Marg one as in a new place it's always better to stay close to the market or main location as you don't know what you will need and when also sometimes transportation can be an issue in such place. So, the hotel was in between the MG Market and the view from there was breathtaking, I think my first half went by just admiring the view from there it was so amazing I was so confused to even shoot. Being able to be in such places can only be like a dream you seem to enjoy it so much that you don't even realize when did it get over. Then after so many videos and timelapse had lunch in the hotel itself and then went to roam around in the market as I reached today it was a free day for exploring Gangtok's MG Road and the nearby area especially the market around the MG Road, it was just wow. Every place there was worth a watch and witnessing everything was really amazing. Check out the full video below.

Learnings from this journey-

1. To save money whenever possible use a shared vehicle, and use that money to travel more

2. Stay near the market, if you don't know much about the area.

3. Do not rush, enjoy every place
